These are Photos magnified appr. 3 to 4,000 times.
They are of the petrified human brain except the small inserts
Notice the cells, the nuclei, the intricate web of capillaries, look very close, you'll see them!
As you notice in these photos, much of what you see appears crystalline and much appears identifiably cellular. This would be expected of a high quality fossil. It is microcrystalline silica.
Capillaries are the smallest blood vessels in the body. No cell is ever more than one cell away from a capillary. Some of them carry blood only the size of a single blood cell. This is how small the inside diameter is, that is how tiny they are. What you see (images above and below) are on a single speck of dust each, from inside a hole drilled inside the petrified human brain.

capillary and brain cells
At this area which should not have cleavage, the rock provides a natural window into the brain.
Crystallized silicas do not do what you are seeing here, yet this is crystallized silica.
WOW!!! see the spurs and great cell structure?
This image very greatly magnified. You must scroll to the right to get the full effect here
Notice the cell colonies and mitosis.
Just as importantly, notice the non uniformity of the cells. This is crystallized silica, but where is the three dimensional uniformity?
Where is the conchoidal fracture you would expect from the shard looking item?
Why the spurs...remember, this is crystallized silica?
Does this look like any crystallized silica you have ever seen?
Ripple effect is light waves bending due to excessive magnification.
I do not know the level of magnification for this inset image
